Who we are

Building Warriors. Rebuilding community.

Minnesota Warriors exists to create an inclusive community where kids, families, veterans, seniors, and people of every ability can belong, grow, and thrive.

One team became a bigger mission.

Minnesota Warriors began with a simple belief: rural families should not have to choose between opportunity and affordability. In one season, one volleyball team grew into six—bringing families from across Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa to Winnebago and opening the door to a much bigger mission.

Our mission

We bring people together and rebuild community in rural America. As a Special Olympics Minnesota delegation, and through youth programs, adaptive and special-needs activities, veteran involvement, fitness, education, and community events, we are creating Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa’s community center—a place where everyone belongs.

Our next chapter

The purchase of the former school building in Winnebago made room for the mission to grow. The Warrior Center is more than a gym. It is a long-term home for learning, movement, celebration, connection, and service.

What guides us

Built around belonging.

Access first

Cost, location, age, and ability should never decide who gets to participate.

People over trophies

We compete hard while measuring success in confidence, connection, and growth.

Community powered

Volunteers, families, partners, and supporters make every opportunity possible.
